- Mr Matthew Perry, Consultant Urological Surgeon, Royal Surrey County Hospital
- Matthew was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon to St George's Hospital in 2005. He was invited to set up the robotic cystectomy service at the Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford in 2013 and moved his full NHS practice to Guildford in 2016. Matthew, a Londoner, went to Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School before qualifying in 1993. He gained his MD for research into Cancer Vaccines for prostate cancer in 2002. He is a pelvic cancer specialist, providing surgical services for complex pelvic cancer. He specialises in Robotic surgery for the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer. Matthew introduced narrow band imaging for the early detection and management of superficial bladder cancer and introduced the robotic cystectomy programme enabling safer surgery with a shorter length of stay and lower complication rate at both St George's and the Royal Surrey Hospitals. Matthew is adviser to Cancer Research UK charity and a Trustee of the Prostate Project charity. Matthew has over 15 years of experience with the Da Vinci robot with thousands of operations in his portfolio. His vast experience and continuing desire to improve has led to greater outcomes for his patients. The Urology department at the Royal Surrey Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a recognised ERUS (European Robotic Urology Society) Training centre and with Matthew's mentorship and education, has produced Consultant Robotic Surgeons for cities as diverse as Brisbane, Luxembourg, Chicago and Guildford.

- Following the completion of his Academic Foundation Programme under the mentorship of Professor Ewen Harrison and Professor O James Garden, he commenced surgical training before undertaking a PhD aligned with the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery.
Stephen’s current interests include crowd-sourcing patient-level data, machine learning techniques, risk stratification, translational medical technology in transplantation, and wearable technology to measure postoperative surgical outcomes.
Recent work developing risk stratification scores to guide clinical management during the Covid-19 pandemic has been published in the British Medical Journal, validated across more than 20 countries, and incorporated within national and World Health Organisation guidelines.

- Mr Khalid Al-Hourani, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Frimley Health NHS Trust
- Dr Al-Hourani is Consultant Orthopaedic Knee surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in the breadth of knee preservation/sports knee surgery as well as knee arthroplasty. He maintains a keen interest in traumatic conditions particularly of the knee including multi-ligament and peri-articular injuries. Having completed the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs), he went on to become one of an exclusive group of UK surgeons to complete an ACGME Accredited Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship (Boston, USA). This included time spent at world-renowned centres such as Boston Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital and Beth Israel. During this time, he was primary/assistant team physician to elite athletes at Varsity/Division 1 Basketball and Ice Hockey for Boston University. Prior to this he completed a sports knee/arthroplasty and trauma fellowships in a renowned UK tertiary referral Center (University Hospitals Coventry). He studied medicine at The University of Edinburgh and completed his orthopaedic residency training there. His academic interests include orthopaedic engineering, with a postgraduate thesis MD degree in this field and now focussing on implant design. Further award of a PhD focussing on the management of tibial injuries including their effect on return to work and sport. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed publications, with international recognition as a result of this work, including in the field of return to work following knee arthroplasty, and factors facilitating return to work.

- A nurse by profession, Rosanne specialised in perioperative practice for many years winning the Association of Perioperative Practice's (AfPP) Perioperative Practitioner of the Year Award in 2009. In 2012, Rosanne moved into governance, where she held a number of positions in a variety of NHS health boards across UK. In 2018, Rosanne moved to the Scottish Government initially as part of the Service Reform Team, before joining the Scottish Access Collaborative (SAC) in 2020 as a Programme Manager. In 2021, and following the establishment of the Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD), Rosanne moved into her current role as a National Improvement Advisor for the Modernising Patient Pathways Programme (MPPP) supporting the Perioperative Delivery Group (PDG), the Cataract Sub-Specialty Delivery Group (CSSDG) and the Rheumatology Speciality Delivery Group (SDG)

- My name is Martin Cardno and I am a Project Manager currently working in the Modernising Patient Pathways Programme as part of the Centre for Sustainable Delivery within NHS Scotland. My current pieces of work include providing Project Management to our Scottish Critical Care Speciality Delivery Group and also the Prostate Cancer PROMS Project. I am also involved with the development of specific pathways and pieces of work in relation to our Dermatology and Respiratory specialties.
